Hi! I’m Betty and I love science. In my day job, I often read a lot of research papers, some of which are really cool. When I read an exciting new paper, I think “Gosh, wouldn’t it be great if other people knew about this?” That’s why I started this blog: to share the newest and coolest scientific research with you.
I am passionate about infectious diseases, antibiotic stewardship and public health so you will likely see a fair number of posts on those topics. But let’s be honest, all science is pretty neat and I will try my best to cover a wide variety of topics. If you have suggestions for new or upcoming papers, feel free to leave a comment below or drop me a line at eatreadscience@gmail.com.

Love your blog Betty, really well written, very easy to read. As a scientist, I appreciate that it’s not dumbed down at all, it’s still useful and makes sense at multiple levels.

I’m one of those “conspiracy nuts” we hear so much about. I only caution you not to get caught up in all the hype of taking this vaccine or drug as a preventative of this, that or the other, only to later discover it is designed to either dumb-down the populace, or reduce it. Just as in Cancer, there is a malignancy in this world and its ugly name is government…
